IS 12137 : 1987 General requirements of wagon puller/pusher

1 Scope

Covers general and safety requirements, field of application,types and limitin dimensions of the wagon pullers/pushers forhauling/spotting broad gauge top open railway wagons.

1.1 This standard is not applicable to hopper type wagons.

1.2 Wagons suitable only for mechanical handling shall behandled by the wagon pullers/pushers covered by this standard.

1.3 The maximum gross load of rake of wagons to be hauled by thewagon puller/pusher shall be limited to 2000 tonnes.
