IS 12170 : 1987 Method for determination of dimensional stability of textile materials to dry heat treatments

1 Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes a method for determination of dimensional changeof all kinds of textile fabrics, when exposed to dry heat. It is intended topredict the behaviour of fabrics in garment-making processes such as fusing andtransfer printing or during their contact with hot metal surfacesunder-pressure.
