IS 12389 : 1988 Specification for Seamless and Welded Titanium and Titanium Alloy Fittings

1 Scope

The term `fittings` has been applied to cover seamless andwelded parts of construction, such as caps, tees, reducers, lapjoint stab ends, flanges, etc, and the term welded fittingsapplies to fusion welding parts only. Changes in the corrosion andstrength properties of the titanium fittings that may occur byvirtue of their galvanic contacts with other materials in corrosiveliquids are not covered in this specification.
