IS 12457 : 1988 Code of practice for evaluation repairs and acceptance limits of surface defects in steel plates, and wide flats

1 Scope

Lays down the delivery conditions which apply for the acceptancelimits of various defects in hot-rolled plates and flats meant foruse in pressure vessels, boilers and any other special application(as mutually agreed) in the thickness range of 5 mm up to andincluding 150 mm.

1.1 For plates and wide flats with thickness beyond the limitsspecified above or any other application, special agreementsbetween the purchaser and the manufacturer may be made.
