1 Scope

1.1 This standard ( Part 1 ) covers the method to determinewhether insulating liquids are gas evolving or gas absorbing underthe test conditions when subjected to electric stress of sufficient intensity to cause an electric discharge through a gas phase inwhich a gas-oil interface is located under a hydrogen atmosphere,Results are expressed in terms of gassing rate.
