1.1 This standard (Part 2) specifies the terms and definitionsrelating to universal joints and driveshafts used in automotivedrive train applications are covered.

1.2 The Rzeppa, Weiss, Tracta and Tripot universal joints areused primarily in slower speed applications, such as wheel drives.
