IS 12568 : 1988 Methods for testing black and white photographic enlargers

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the methods for testing black and whitephotographic enlargers for amateur and professional use in ordinaryphotographic practice.

1.2 More critical tests may be required for at least somefunctions of enlargers for photogrammetry, photoengraving and otherspecial purposes, which have not been covered in this standard.

1.3 Some characteristics of enlargers such as ease of operation,good workmanship and finish, and sturdiness cannot be subjected tospecific testing. However, they are important and should not beoverlooked.
