This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 10993-1 : 1992`Biological evaluation of medical devices - Part 1 : Guidance onselection of tests, issued by the International Organization forStandardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of IndianStandards, on the recommendation of the Medical Instruments andDisposable Sectional Committee and approval of the MedicalEquipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.
