IS 12579 : 1988 Base-metal mineral insulated thermocouple cables and thermocouples

1 Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the requirements for mineralinsulated thermocouple cables and for mineral insulatedthermocouples having one pair of base-metal conductors for generalindustrial applications.

Note - Mineral insulated cables and thermocouples are alsoavailable with more than one pair of conductors.

1.2 This standard does not cover the requirements for nuclearprimary loop applications for which there are special requirements.
