This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 3853 : 1994 `Roadvehicles - Towing vehicle coupling device to tow caravans or lighttrailers - Mechanical strength test issued by the InternationalOrganization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of IndianStandards on the recommendations of the Transport Tractors, Trailers andIndustrial Trucks Sectional Committee had been approved by the TransportEngineering Division Council.
