NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Third Revision) which is identical adoption of ISO 6877 : 2021 ‘Dentistry - Endodontic obturating materials' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Dentistry Sectional Committee and after approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1989 and subsequently revised in 2005 and 2018. The third revision has been undertaken to align it with latest edition of ISO 6877 : 2021. After publication of this standard, IS 12624 : 2018/ISO 6877 : 2006 stands withdrawn.
