Reaffirmed 2019
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 10619-2 : 2011 ‘Rubber and plastics hoses and tubing — Measurement of flexibility and stiffness — Part 2: Bending tests at sub-ambient temperatures’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Rubber and Rubber Products Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.
This standard was first published in 1989 which was identical with ISO 4672 : 1988 ‘Rubber and plastics hoses — Sub-ambient temperature flexibility tests’. This International Standard was subsequently revised in 1997 and later on was superseded by ISO 10619-2 : 2011. The first revision of this standard is being carried out to align it with the latest published International Standard on the subject.
The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
