NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 10554 : 2009 ‘Polyamide fibre ropes - Double braid construction’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Cordage Sectional Committee and approval of the Textiles Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1989. This revision has been undertaken to harmonize it with the latest version of ISO 10554 : 2009 on the subject.
