This Indian Standard, which is identical with ISO 1831 : 1980Printing specifications for optical character recognition issuedby the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) wasadopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on 6 February 1989 on therecommendation of the Computers, Business Machines and CalculatorsSectional Committee (LTDC 24) and approval of the Electronics andTelecommunication Division Council.
