This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC 870-1-1 (1988) 'Telecontrol equipment and systems - Part 1 : General considerations - Section 1 General principles' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adpoted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of Power Systems Control and Associated Communications Sectional Committee (LTD 26) and approval of the Electronics and Telecommunication Division Council.
