This Indian Standard (Part 1/Sec 3) (First Revision) which is identical with IEC 60870-1-3 : 1997 ‘Telecontrol equipment and systems — Part 1: General considerations — Section 3: Glossary’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Power System Control and Associated Communications Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.
