This Indian Standard (Part 3) which is identical with lEC/Pub870-3 : 1989 `Telecontrol equipment and systems : Part 3 Interfaces(electrical characteristics)', issued by the InternationalElectrotechnical Commission (IEC), was adopted by the Bureau ofIndian Standards on the recommendation of the Power Line CarrierSystems and Associated Telecontrol Equipment Sectional Committee(LTD 25) and approval of the Electronics and TelecommunicationDivision Council.
The text of the IEC standard has been approved as suitable forpublication as Indian Standard without deviation except This:
