This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC Pub 870-5-1 (1990) 'Telecontrol equipment and systems - Part 5 : Trasmission Protocols, Section1 Transmission fram formats' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian standards in the recommendation of Power Line Carrier Systems and Associated Telecontrol Equipments Sectional Committee (LTD 25) and approval of the Electronics and Telecommunication Division Council.
