This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC Pub 870-5-2 (1992 ‘Telecontrol equipment and systems - Part 5 : Transmission protocols, Section 2 : Link transmission procedures’, issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), w’as adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of Power System Control and Associated Communications Sectional Committee (LTD 25) and approval of the Electronics and Telecommunication Division Council.
