This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC Pub 870-5-3 (1992) ‘Jelecontrol equipment and systems - Part 5 : Transmission protocols - Section 3 : General structure of application data’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of Power Systems Control and Associated Communications Sectional Committee (LJD 25) and approval of the Electronics and Telecommunication Division Council.
