This Indian Standard (Part 2), which is identical with ISO3511/2 : 1984 `Process measurement control functions andinstrumentation - Symbolic representation - Part 2 : Extension ofbasic requirements', issued by the International Organization forStandardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standardson 18 August 1989 on the recommendation of the Chemical EngineeringSectional Committee (HMD 17) and approval of the Heavy MechanicalEngineering Division Council.
