This Indian Standard (Part 3), which is identical with ISO3511/3 : 1984 `Process measurement control functions andinstrumentation - Symbolic representation - Part 3 : Detailedsymbols for instrument interconnection diagrams', issued by theInternational Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted bythe Bureau of Indian Standards on 18 August 1989 on therecommendation of the Chemical Engineering Sectional Committee (HMD17/EDC 57) and approval of the Heavy Mechanical EngineeringDivision Council.
