This Indian Standard (Part 4), which is identical with ISO3511/4 : 1985 `Industrial process measurement control functions andinstrumentation - Symbolic representation - Part 4: Basic symbolsfor process computer, interface, and shared display/controlfunctions' issued by the International Organization forStandardization (ISO) was adopted on 18 August 1989 by the Bureauof Indian Standards on the recommendation of the ChemicalEngineering Sectional Committee (HMD 17/EDC 57) and approval of theHeavy Mechanical Engineering Division Council.
