This Indian Standard (Part 2), which is identical with ISO1073/2 : 1976 `Alphanumeric character sets for optical recognition- Part 2 : Character set OCR-B - Shapes and dimensions of theprinted image', issued by the International Organization forStandardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standardson 15 December 1989 on the recommendation of the Computers,Business Machines and Calculators Sectional Committee (LTD 24) andapproval of the Electronics and Telecommunication Division Council.
