NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 9) (First Revision) which is identical with IEC 60904-9: 2020 'Photovoltaic devices Part 9: Classification of solar simulator characteristics' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Solar Photovoltaic Energy Systems Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2010 was identical with IEC 60904-9 : 2007. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of IEC 60904-9 : 2020.
