1 Scope

1.1 This standard lays down the guidelines for the selection of hydro turbine preliminary dimensioning and layout of small, miniand micro hydroelectric power houses.

1.2 It is presumed that the data with regard to design head,design discharge, number and types of units and capacity are known. Departure from these guidelines may be necessary to meet thespecial requirements and conditions of individual site.
