NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Second Revision) which is identical with IEC TS 61836 : 2016 'Solar photovoltaic energy systems — Terms, definitions and symbols' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Solar Photovoltaic Energy Systems Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standard was first published in 1989 and subsequently revised in 2013 to align it with IEC/TS 61836 : 2007 under dual numbering system. This second revision has been undertaken to align with the latest version of IEC TS 61836 : 2016
