1 SCOPE

1.1 This standard specifies dimensions, tolerances, strength and light transmission of glass fibre reinforced translucent plastics sheeting of the profiles specified in the following standards for use in roofs:

277 'Galvanized steel strips and sheets (plain and corrugated) - Specification (seventh revision)',

459 'Corrugated and semi-corrugated asbestos cement sheets - Specification (third revision)', and

1254 'Corrugated aluminium sheet (fourth revision)

1.2 The recommended temperature range over which the sheets can be used as roof lights or for glazing should be from - 20 to + 60 °C.
