NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Second Revision) which is identical to ISO 12743 : 2021 ‘Copper, lead, zinc and nickel concentrates - Sampling procedures for determination of metal and moisture content’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Ores and Feed Stock for Non-Ferrous (Excluding Aluminium and Copper) Industry, their Metals/Alloys and Products Sectional Committee and approval of the Metallurgical Engineering Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1989 and subsequently revised in 2011. First revision of this standard was identical with ISO 12743 : 2006. The second revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 12743 : 2021 in dual numbering system to harmonize it with latest developments that have taken place at international level.
