This Indian standard, which is identical with IEC Pub 231 (1967)`General principles of nuclear reactor instrumentation', issued bythe International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), was adopted bythe Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the NuclearInstrumentation Sectional Committee (LTD 26) and approval of theElectronics and Telecommunication Division Council.

Wherever the words `International Standard' appear, referring tothis standard, they should be read as `Indian Standard'.
