1 Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the dimensional requirement forrubber sealing rings to be used with cast iron detachable jointsconforming to IS 12987 : 1990 for joining light duty asbestoscement pressure pipes conforming to IS 9627 : 1980.

1.2 This standard covers the dimensions of rubber sealing ringshaving circular cross section only up to 200 mm nominal diameterfor class 5 and 10.
