1 Scope
1.1 This standard provides guidance on drafting andpresentation including editorial practice to be followedin the preparation of Indian Standards and SpecialPublications.
1.2 It also provides guidance on adoption of InternationalStandards as Indian Standards.

The standards listed in Annex A contain provisionswhich, through reference in this text, constituteprovisions of this standard. At the time of publication,the editions indicated were valid.
