IS 13079 : 1991 Stepping Motors

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the specific requirements forelectromagnetic stepping motors. It defines the terminology usedfor this type of motor, lists of the items for which values are tobe indicated by the manufacturer and specifies the test methods tobe adopted. Dimensions are specified for given frame sizes;however, this standard is also applicable to motors in frameshaving any other dimensions.

1.2 Hydraulic and `ratchet type stepping motors are notincluded in this standard.
