IS 13166 : 1992 Guidelines for evaluation and testing of mechanical surface aerators

1 Scope

1.1 This standard gives guidelines regarding evaluation andtesting of single surface aerators. It covers basic equations ofmass transfer, characteristics of aeration equipments, oxygenationcapacity determination, effects of variables on oxygenation, briefidea about reaeration of deoxygenation, estimation of dissolvedoxygen and mass transfer coefficient K_L andoverall test procedure for finding K_L a oxygenationcapacity and oxygenation efficiency.

1.2 This standard does not cover multiple surface aerators.
