New Standard from Last Update.

NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 3) which is identical with ISO 7250-3 : 2015 ‘Basic human body measurements for technological design — Part 3: Worldwide and regional design ranges for use in product standards’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Ergonomics Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.

This Indian Standard is published in several parts. The other parts in this series are:

Part 1 Body measurement definitions and landmarks

Part 2 Statistical summaries of body measurements of Indian population (under print)

The text of ISO Standard has been proposed as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:

a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appears referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.

b) Comma (,) has been used as decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice to use a full point (.) as the decimal marker.
