1. SCOPE

1.1 This standard prescribes the requirements of the following types of tarred ropes:

a) Hawser-laid (three-strand) tarred sisal ropes of dia 8 to 129 mm and with a linear density from 64 to 14 lOO kilotex.

b) Cable-laid ( nine-strand) tarred sisal ropes of dia 48 to 145 mm and with a linear density from 1 859 to 16909 kilotex.
