IS 13246 : 1992/IEC Pub 374 : 1971 Guide for choosing modular dimensions for waveguide components

NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC Pub 374 ( 1971 ) ‘Guide for choosing modular dimensions for waveguide components’, issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission ( IEC ), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Microwave Components and Accessories SectionaI Committee ( LTD 19 ) and approva1 of the Electronics and Telecommunication Division Council.

Certain t.erminology and conventions are not identical with those used in Indian Standard; attention is especially drawn to the following:

a) Comma ( , ) has been used as decimal marker whiIe in Indian Standards the current practice is to use a point ( . ) as decima1 marker.

b) Wherever the words ‘International Standard” appear, should be read as ‘Indian Standard’. referring to this standard, they

c) Por the purpose of.Indian Standard, only the metric dimensions are appIicabIe.
