1 SCOPE

This standard specifies the performance requirements for elastomeric seals used in automotive vehicles disc brake calipers using a non-petroleum base hydraulic brake fluid. Seals covered under this may be solid section type (square, rectangular, ring, etc) mounted stationary in cylinder bore or on the movable portion of disc brakes.
