IS 13315 : 1992 Nickel Cadmium Batteries for Electric Locomotives - Specification

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers methods of tests, performance and otherrequirements for nickel cadmium batteries used as a source ofenergy for baby compressor for raising the pentograph and forworking the control circuit, normal voltage of which is 110 V.

1.2 It does not however cover batteries for train lighting andairconditioning of railway coaches, requirements of which are underconsideration.
