This Indian Standard which is identical with IS0 4591 : 1992 ‘Plastics - Film and sheeting --Determination of average thickness of a sample, and average thickness and yield of a roll, by gravimetric techniques (gravimetric thickness)’ issued by the International Organitation for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of Methods of Test for Plastics Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.
