1. Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes a test method which is used for the determination of moisture in most plastics. Plastics containing volatile components, such as monomers and plasticizers, may contaminate the electrolytic cell, used in the test, causing incorrect results.

1.2 This test method is suitable for measuring moisture over the range from 0.005 percent to almost 100 percent.
