NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 4/See 1) (First Revision)which is identical with ISO 1133:1997 ‘Plastics - Determination of the melt mass-flow rate (MFR) and the melt volume-flow rate (MVR) of thermoplastics’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Methods of Test for Plastics Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Councii.
This standard was pubiished in 1995, which was under dual numbering with the earlier version of ISO nameiy, iSO 1133:1991. b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker whiie in indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimai marker.
