1. Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 5, Section 19) covers the determination of the resistance to abrasion of flat surfaces of plastic materials, measured in terms ofvolume loss, by two different types of abrasion-testing machines as follows.

1.1.1 Test Method A - Loose abrasive.

1.1.2 Test Method B - Bonded abrasive on cloth or paper abrasive tape.
