NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 5/Sec 26) (Second Revision) which is identical to ISO 527-5 : 2021 ‘Plastics - Determination of tensile properties - Part 5: Test conditions for unidirectional fibre-reinforced plastic composites’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Methods of Sampling and Test for Plastics Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 2004 and subsequently revised in 2018. The first revision was identical with ISO 527-5 : 2009. This revision has been taken up to align the standard with the latest version of ISO 527-5 : 2021.
