NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Third Revision) which is identical with ISO 75-1 : 2020 ‘Plastics - Determination of temperature of deflection under load - Part 1: General test method’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Methods of Sampling and Test for Plastics Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council.
The standard was originally published in 1997 and subsequently revised in 2013 and 2016. The first revision was based on ISO 75-1 : 2004. The second revision of this standard was identical with ISO 75-1 : 2013. The third revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 75-1 : 2020.
