1 Scope

This standard describes methods for seismic testing of rock masswithin a borehole by downhole method and uphold method for thepurpose of either to locate and map stratigraphic boundaries, or todetermine seismic and, by inference mechanical characteristics ofthe individual rock or soil units between these boundaries.
