This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 1724 : 2003 `Road vehicles- Connectors for the electrical connection of towing and towed vehicles -7-pole connector type 12 N (normal) for vehicles with 12 V nominal supplyvoltage' issued by the International Organization for Standardization(ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendationsof the Automotive Electrical Equipment and Instruments Sectional Committeeand approval of the Transport Engineering Division Council.
