1 SCOPE

This standard ( Part 3/Set 5 ) contains requirements for Epoxy Phenol Novolac Resins Grade EPN- 1. At present only one grade of Epoxy Phenol Novolac Resin Grade EPN-1, which is generally used in the manufacture of Epoxy Phenol novolac resin impregnated glass-fibre backed mica paper tapes (B stage cured) and glass-fibre laminated, is included in this standard. Other grades of epoxy phenol novolac resins may be included in future after the commercial availability and uses are established.
