IS 1347 : 1972 Specification for Inland Packaging of Cotton Cloth and Yarn

1 Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes the requirements of packaging of cotton clothand yarn intended for overland transport.

1.2 If goods are to be transported long distances over internal waterways orto be transported overland where distance is great, time taken in transit isconsiderable and climatic conditions are variable; or where the goods are to befrequently unloaded and reloaded in transit, the method of packaging asprescribed in IS 293 : 1967 may be followed.
