1 Scope

1.1 This standard (Part IV/Sec 2) prescribes the methods of determination of nitrogen content in coal.

NOTE - The method prescribed in 5.1 is also applicable to brown coals, lignites and coke except for the fact that a longer period of digestion ( see 5.1.3) is required in the case of high rank coal, anthracite and coke.
